On Wednesday 29 April, just five weeks from now, thousands of farmers, contractors and machinery enthusiasts from all corners of the country will descend on Cuffesgrange, Co Kilkenny, for what is set to be the largest live silage-cutting demonstration event of the decade.
Grass 2026 is a new event set to mark the start of the 2026 silage season, hosted by Irish Farmers Journal, supported by FBD Insurance.
On the day, visitors can expect to see the latest and greatest machines undertake the entire silage-making process live in one place, from mowing, tedding, raking and harvesting with balers, forage wagons and forage harvesters from all industry leading brands.
In addition to live commentary throughout the day, there will be live pit and bale-handling demonstrations taking place back in the yard.
And if live demonstrations weren’t enough of a spectacle, there will be a lively trade village jam-packed with machinery trade stands and services, spanning beyond grass equipment.
Here, manufacturers, importers and dealers will be on hand to answer all your machinery needs.
