A long-term agreement between Kubota and Buhler Industries (better known for its Versatile and Farm King brands) has been arranged. The deal allows Japanese firm Kubota to add greater horsepower tractors to its portfolio, exceeding Kubota’s current most powerful offering, the 175hp M7172.

It is no coincidence that Versatile recently launched its Nemesis series, offering tractors from 175hp to 210hp. Rumours suggest that the new Kubota series could be based around these Nemesis tractors, and this leaves us wondering if we will see the Nemesis tractors offered as an M8 series in Kubota colours? The Nemesis offers optimal value, comfort and performance to the lower end of the market, not requiring in excess of 250hp provided by its larger well-known articulated tractors. Powered by a 6.7l Cummins engine and a ZF powershift transmission, the Nemesis will start off as a three-model range. Power options include 175hp, 195hp and 210hp, with talks for a 250hp model offering a CVT transmission in the future.
