Polaris Off Road will be launching the new Ranger 500 at the LAMMA show at the NEC in Birmingham on 14-15 January.
Polaris says the Ranger 500 has been designed as a practical mid-size utility vehicle that bridges the gap between a traditional quad (ATV) and a full-size UTV.
The manufacturer says the Ranger 500 offers a convincing "step up" for those currently using ATVs who require the added safety and comfort of a cab, the convenience of a cargo bed and the ability to carry a passenger, all while maintaining a compact footprint and approachable price point.
The Ranger 500 is equipped with the Polaris 567cc petrol engine that delivers 28bhp. Key features include a gas-assisted cargo dump box capable of hauling 227kg, making it ideal for moving feed, fencing supplies or tools, while it features a 680kg towing capacity.

The Polaris features on-demand all-wheel drive and VersaTrac Turf Mode, which unlocks the rear differential to prevent damage to sensitive grass areas.
Irish and UK models come with a protective roof and a 1,134kg winch as standard. The unit measures in at 148.6cm (58.5") wide and features 25.4cm (10”) of ground clearance.

The Ranger 500 is expected to officially go on sale in late spring this year. While final pricing is yet to be announced, the company said it will be positioned as Polaris’ most accessible entry into the UTV market, specifically targeted at value-conscious professionals.
