Enterprise Ireland has said that a record 21 Irish client companies in the agri tech and agri machinery sectors are exhibiting at Lamma 2026 this week.
Lamma is the UK's leading agricultural machinery, equipment and technology show, attracting over 40,000 visitors each year, taking place at the NEC Birmingham starting on Wednesday 14 January and finishing Thursday 15 January 2026.
The body has said that Irish agri machinery and agri tech solutions continue to see strong demand in the UK market, driven by their reputation for durability and innovation.
It says products in high demand include advanced balers and wrappers, slurry spreading and manure management systems, livestock handling and feeding equipment, grassland management technologies, and farm management software – including AI-powered solutions that enhance animal welfare, compliance and overall farm efficiency.
Irish award winners
Highlighting the innovation and excellence of Irish companies, Herdwatch secured the silver award at the Lamma Innovation Awards in the Digital Technology Innovation of the Year category for their AI app Herdi.
Herdi is an AI-powered, context-aware assistant designed for livestock farmers in the UK and Ireland, integrated into the Herdwatch app used on over 22,000 dairy, beef and sheep farms.
It provides instant, accurate guidance on animal health, compliance, breeding and pasture management by combining farm records with external data such as weather and market prices, alongside specialist AI modules. Additionally, McHale secured two prestigious silver awards at the Innovation Awards.

Some of the 21 Enterprise Ireland client companies exhibiting at Lamma 2026 include Abbey Machinery, AgriSpread, Easyfix, Hi-Spec Engineering, JFC Agri, Major, Malone and Mastek.
The company won Silver in the Grassland Innovation of the Year category for its TerraDrive Axle, a hydraulic drive system available as an option on McHale Fusion 4 Plus balers that provides enhanced traction in soft, wet or hilly conditions, reducing strain on the tractor.
McHale also received Silver in the British and Irish Manufacturer of the Year category, recognising its ongoing commitment to engineering excellence, product innovation, global export growth, sustainability (including ISO14001 accreditation and durable machinery design), and support for rural employment.
Enterprise Ireland's senior market adviser for agriculture in the UK Jane Lycett commented: “The UK remains a key market for Irish agri machinery and agri tech, with the UK agricultural machinery sector valued at approximately £2.5bn annually.
"Backed by a dynamic Irish farm machinery industry, our clients' reliable, high-performance solutions are highly valued by UK farmers facing similar climatic and operational challenges.”
