Vaughan and sons, the Irish importer and distributor of Weycor wheel loaders, has appointed P&D Agri Services in Clonbern, Co Galway, as a new dealer. Eighteen months ago, P&D was appointed as main agents for the McCormick tractor brand.
Based in Clonbern, Co Galway, P&D Agri Services first opened its doors in 2013. Since then, the business has built up customers in Galway and the surrounding counties, through providing service and, in more recent years, retailing second-hand tractors. In recent years, P&D has become best known in the west as being independent Case IH, New Holland and Kverneland specialists.
Vaughan and sons, which is well-known throughout the country for selling used wheel loaders and telehandlers for the past 40 years, took on the Weycor agency for Ireland in 2018.
To date, the firm has over 60 Weycor loaders sold in Ireland. The Macroom-based company has plans to appoint several dealers across the country, as Weycor is expanding its loader offering.
At Agritechnica last November, Weycor debuted its new Agrarline (Agriline) range, which is dressed in green livery, which the manufacturer says is a portfolio specially tailored to the agricultural sector.
This is now the alternative to the more familiar ‘Atlas’ orange we have become accustomed to. The orange colouring will continue for the construction and municipal sectors. The new agri-line is made up of eight models – seven-wheel loaders and one telescopic wheel loader.
