Macra na Feirme has had a great response to its callouts for old Macra photos in the last few weeks, but it needs more. If you haven’t discussed it yet, bring it up at a club meeting. You may not have photos but perhaps a friend or family member does. We’re trying to build a Macra book that shows the good of Macra throughout the whole country.
Macra na Feirme celebrates its 75th anniversary this year and to mark the milestone the organisation plans to release a book looking back on the history of Macra through photographs. Work on the project is well under way and the organisation is requesting that all past and present members send any interesting Macra photos they have, no matter what era they’re from.
Macra is particularly interested in photos from the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, so if you have photos that tell a story or show a memorable event, please get in touch with the Macra na Feirme public relations manager Joe Coffey through email (jcoffey@macra.ie) or by telephone (01 426 8907).

Alternatively, you can post photographs to Macra na Feirme, Irish Farm Centre, Bluebell, Dublin 12. All photos will be returned to the sender (please include your postal address).
