Dale Farm is offering its suppliers a voluntary, three-year fixed milk price supply contract commencing in January 2019.

Farmers will be able to supply an agreed amount of milk per month at a base price of 28p/l for the duration of the contract.

Producers can offer either 5%, 10%, or 15% of their supply for each of the 12 months from October 2017 to September 2018 for inclusion.

Binding contract

The contracts will be binding and will require dairy farmers to supply the agreed amount of milk to Dale Farm for each of the 36 months.

This is the second time the NI-based dairy co-op has provided a fixed price scheme to farmers. The first scheme commenced in January 2018.

Applications for the new scheme will be accepted until Friday 9 November 2018.
