The Irish Charollais Sheep Society had a strong turnout at Tullamore show. The judge was Sarah O’Neill of the Bolinaspect flock from Camolin, Co Wexford. The shearling and upwards Charollais ram class was won by Liam Conway, Caltra, Co Galway, with his senior ram. The ram is an import from the Riversdale flock in Northern Ireland. In the Charollais ram class Liam was the winner again with a recent purchase from the Greenfield Flock in Co Galway. Both classes were sponsored by Osmonds Animal Health.

The shearling and upwards Charollais ewe class was again Liam Conway, this time with a homebred shearling. The pair of pedigree ewe lambs class always attracts a lot of attention from breeders. This year a fine pair from the Coolnakilla flock, owned by John Farrell from Strokestown, Co Roscommon, won the class. These classes were sponsored by Dolan Farm Supplies.

The grand finale was the FRS-sponsored national livestock show Charollais champion of 2014. The champion was the ewe lamb pair belonging to John Farrell while the reserve was awarded to the senior ram of Liam Conway.
