On Tuesday 30 December the southeast region will host its sixth annual in-lamb sale at Tullow Mart, Co Carlow, commencing at 5pm.
This year’s sale will feature over 60 ewes from some of the top lines in the region, along with a guest consignment from the Greene family in Co Donegal.
Whether you’re looking for in-lamb or maiden ewe lambs, there will be options to suit all budgets.
According to the sale organisers, the sale is not all about high prices, it’s about sheep that will go on and perform for their new owners.
The region prides itself on having some of the best genetics in the country, with flocks producing national and All-Ireland winners, Sheep Ireland class winners and premier sale champions.
The breeders have selected outstanding rams as service sires, giving buyers the best possible start with their new purchases, including ewes in the top 1% for terminal and replacement indexes, as well as past winners.
Raffle
This year, there will be a raffle held in aid of Beaumont Hospital, organised by Cathal O’Brien in memory of his father, who passed away this year while in the excellent care of the hospital.
Videos of the lots will be available online through the MartEye platform or on the southeast region Facebook page.
Those looking for a sale catalogue are asked to contact John Kidd on 087 2480910. For buyers who purchase online, the region will assist with transport arrangements after the sale.
