On Sunday 26 April the highly anticipated Young Handlers Event is set to return as part of the Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show. Marking a special year as the event celebrates its 35th anniversary, this year introduces an exciting new addition: a dedicated 'Training Show' aimed at inspiring and educating the next generation of livestock handlers.
This year's event will be held at its new location, Annaharvey Farm, Tullamore, Co Offaly, R35 A045. Commencing at 10am, it promises to be a day full of demonstrations, competitions, and interactive learning opportunities. Those attending should register online for a free ticket at www.tullamoreshow.com, in order to avail of free goodie bags, food, spots prizes and more.
New Training Show
The training show competition will include Beef and Dairy categories, split into two age groups, 8 to 12-year-olds and under 18s, with free entry and spot prizes available throughout the day. Entries for this competition need to be submitted through the shows website, www.tullamoreshow.com.

The young handlers programme not only features a new training show, it will also host the return of the “Future Stars of the Show Ring", which will showcase many different breeds of Cattle.
Attendees can look forward to a range of live discussions and demonstrations, including, washing, grooming, clipping, showing etiquette, ring presentation, as well as practical insights from experienced livestock handlers.
Commenting on the event, a spokesperson for the Show, said; "The return of the Young Handlers Event highlights the continued commitment of Tullamore Show to supporting youth development within the agricultural community. Participants are encouraged to enter and register on our website in advance of the event."
