Industry leaders were originally against a low limit as it may penalise pedigree breeders. To qualify for the pedigree limit of £7,500 animals need to be full certified.
A Scottish Government spokesperson said: “We’ve listened to the views of farmers and adjusted earlier proposals to introduce a cap on the compensation paid for animals culled due to bovine TB. This will be considered by the Scottish Parliament and, if approved, will come into force in November.”
