A song dedicated to well-known Leeds-based couple, Eddie and Mary Lavelle, is the new single from the Moynihan Brothers from ferns in Co Wexford.
It Feels Just Like Old Times was written by Mary O’Brien Sweeney from Longford and tells the story of Eddie and Mary from the Sligo-Mayo border country who met at a dance in the Marine Ballroom in Enniscrone. It’s about how life soon took them to Leeds, where they raised their family and have resided for many years since,
“We know Eddie and Mary from the Enjoy Travel trips and they are a lovely couple,” says Dave Moynihan. “When Mary told us about the new song, we were delighted to record it. We went up to Longford where it was produced and engineered by Sean Sweeney and Paul Gurney of Real World Studios. It is already picking up good airplay on the regional and internet stations and we are delighted with that.” CL
