New Holland has extended its T6 range with a new six-cylinder T6.160 Dynamic Command (DCT) model.

The new six-pot offering is equipped with New Holland’s 24fx24r Dual Clutch transmission with CVT technology. It sits as a higher specification option alongside the T6.160 Electro command model which was introduced back in early 2019.

This leaves the T6 range offering two six-cylinder models with the DCT transmission (six models including four-cylinder tractors). Being a Dynamic Command model, the T6.160 features New Holland’s SideWinder II armrest and IntelliView IV touchscreen monitor.

The T6.160 is fitted with a Stage V 6.7l NEF engine churning out a rated 135hp, 10hp less than the T6.180 model fitted with the same 6.7l NEF block. New Holland says the new T6.160 DCT was a finalist for the Tractor of the Year 2021 award.

“New Holland has a proud legacy in this segment that started more than 30 years ago, when we launched the first compact six-cylinder tractor on the market, the 7810.

“It was a true game changer, and the new T6.160 Dynamic Command builds on this rich heritage to offer farmers a compact low power Stage V 6-cylinder tractor with embedded technology for operator efficiency,” said T6 global product manager Benjamin Davies.

The T6.160 Dynamic Command will be available in the latter half of 2021.
