The Dealer spotted something of an anomaly last week from photographs sent into us. We received two photos of two strikingly similar Belgian Blue heifers which were both supreme champions at two separate fat stock sales in two different marts.
The first heifer, a 995kg Belgian Blue beaut, was crowned supreme champion at the fat stock show in Roscrea Mart. She sold for €3,500. Two days later at the fat stock sale in Mountrath mart, a very similar heifer was crowned supreme champion there. She sold for €3,300. As you can see, both heifers are very similar.
