Participants in the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) who do not have soil sample information uploaded with their plan on MyAgfood.ie by 28 February 2026 risk having their contract terminated and all monies recouped.
The Department of Agriculture’s ACRES section sent the warning to all ACRES-approved advisers on Friday and also issued the circular on the ACRES section on the Department’s website.
The required information is either soil sample results or soil sample exemption forms where soil results are not deemed necessary.
The circular stated: “As you are aware, soil sampling is a key requirement of ACRES. You will also be aware that the Department has issued several notifications and reminders about the mandatory submission of the soil sample results (or, where appropriate, soil sample exemption forms).
"Please note that the final deadline for the submission of ACRES soil sample results (or soil sample exemption forms) is 28 February 2026 and that it is essential that all remaining soil sample results, or soil sample exemption forms, are uploaded by that date.”
It warned: “You are advised that all ACRES contracts where soil sample results (or soil sample exemption forms) are still outstanding after that date will be terminated and all monies paid to the participant under ACRES to that date will be recouped.”
Uploading process
The circular concluded by advising that “the relevant documents must be uploaded on the ACRES system by an approved ACRES adviser, via the soil sample upload function available to all advisers on MyAgFood. Documents submitted by post or email will not be accepted.”
