Sometimes having an interested farmer over the ditch is a vital part of a successful sale. A super grass farm in Lisnagaul near Bansha in Co Tipperary had just about everything going for it. Some very good-quality land, more or less in one block, road frontage, a yard with potential and a nice house in its arsenal. Unfortunately, however, it had no interested farmer over the ditch. It was withdrawn from auction with just one of the lots receiving a bid. All is not lost though. The holding remains on the market via private treaty and according to Tipperary town-based auctioneer Matt Ryan, progress has been steady. Ryan will be hoping the quality and setting of the farm will shine through in the coming months.
