Tullow Mart in Co Carlow plays host to a sale of 230 top-quality ewes on the point of lambing on Tuesday 31 March at 1pm.

The complete flock clearance consists of Suffolk-cross and continental-cross ewes lambing from 1 April to Charollais, Texel and Suffolk rams.

While the flock is aged from hogget to full mouth ewes, manager Eric Driver reports that the majority are productive two- and three-year-old ewes.

He says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for farmers to get their hands on excellent-quality ewes carrying a great crop of 2.1 lambs.

"These ewes have it all – breeding, size, in-lamb to top-quality rams and come to the ring in tremendous condition having being outwintered. For farmers with barren ewes to replace or wanting to add quality to their flock, this is a sale not be missed”.
