The Sheep Welfare Scheme is expected to reopen soon for 2018, IFA sheep chair John Lynskey has said. “Existing applicants will be required to make a simple application by post or online, confirming their participation for 2018.”
Farmers with ewes who did not apply in 2017 will also be able to apply by contacting the Department for an application form. New entrants who have ewes and obtained a herd number between 1 January 2017 and the closing date can also apply.
