A time and venue have been selected for a meeting to establish the Irish Livestock Stakeholders Association.
It is being set up to promote highest welfare standards in the export of Irish cattle, sheep and pigs and thereby protect the sector’s future.
All organisations involved in the business are invited including exporters, specialist hauliers, ferry companies, farm organisations, the Department of Agriculture, Bord Bia, ICOS and dairy co-ops.

A number of veal producers from EU markets will be present to explain their requirements for 2020 including calf welfare requirements.
The meeting will be at 11am on Monday 18 November at the Arklow Bay Hotel.
It will be chaired by Co Wicklow farmer James Hill. All planning to attend are asked to register beforehand by emailing irishlivestockstakeholders@gmail.com.
