There were 15 bidders for the 106ac at Grehanstown, Killucan, Co Westmeath when it was offered by James L Murtagh Auctioneers, with four of them online.

The property was bid to €1.99m in five lots but then sold in the entire at €2m.

“The successful bidder was wished well by the underbidders,” auctioneer Padraic Murtagh said.

He also sold 58ac at Brownstown, Delvin, Westmeath, at auction last week. It was guided at €450,000 but bid – in the entire – to €587,000. Three bidders took part, two on the floor and one by online.

Sherry Fitzgerald Royal brought a number of farms to auction, including Middleborough House at Longwood, Co Meath.

The 19ac holding at Killaconnigan Ballivor Co Meath remains for sale.

Lot 1 – the house on 6ac – was withdrawn at €510,000 and sold afterwards for a considerably higher figure. Lot 2 – 44ac at Kilglass, Longwood – was withdrawn at €450,000 and remains for sale at €490,000.

Also auctioned was Killaconnigan, Ballivor, Co Meath. Lot 1 was the bungalow and yard on two acres. It was withdrawn and remains on sale at €275,000. Lot 2, 16.7ac, was withdrawn at €140,000 and remains for sale at €160,000.
