The Local Enterprise Village - an initiative spearheaded by the local enterprise offices (LEOs) - will be a bustling hub of creativity and enterprise where visitors can explore an eclectic mix of offerings, ranging from artisan Mexican salsa and eco-friendly fertilisers to cutting-edge fashion and sensory-friendly clothing.

This initiative underscores the LEOs' commitment to nurturing and spotlighting Ireland’s vibrant small business community.

The Local Enterprise Village has consistently been a popular destination at the National Ploughing Championships, drawing in attendees eager to discover and support local talent. It offers a unique opportunity to purchase distinctive, high-quality products while connecting with the entrepreneurs behind them.

Head of the Local Enterprise Village Kieran Comerford emphasised the significance of this platform for small businesses.

"This is an opportunity like no other for a small business in Ireland. The opportunity to bring their ideas and products to almost 300,000 potential customers is a showcase like no other.

"The Local Enterprise Village has become one of those areas everyone wants to drop into to find their local business and see what they can pick up."

Kildare NPA director John Dunne echoed this sentiment, praising the diversity and quality of the participating businesses.

"It is wonderful to see so many diverse and impressive businesses partaking in this year’s event. This is an ideal and unique opportunity for these companies to showcase their products and wares.”
