Topcon Agriculture recently announced the release of the NORAC tillage depth control (TDC) system.

This system uses ultrasonic sensors designed to maintain a set implement depth, while automatically compensating for differing soil types and terrains.

According to Topcon, the NORAC TDC is designed as a “set it and forget it” system that will automatically hit the correct cutting depth in all conditions and terrains.

The NORAC TDC can be retrofitted on to any trailed tillage implement with a hydraulic lift and utilise a factory display that supports Isobus virtual terminal functionality.

Topcon representative Danea Armstrong said: “We see the tillage tool as a powerful platform for sensors and the collection of valuable agronomic data for the producer.

“This product is the first of several steps we are taking in the progression to intelligent tillage.”
