The Food Institute UCC, in partnership with Cork University Business School and Goodbody Stockbrokers, will bring food industry leaders and financiers together next year to discuss key themes concerning the future of the food industry.

It aims to identify the sources and uses of financial capital in advancing the global food and agribusiness sectors.

Key food industry CEOs will take part on the day, including Siobhán Talbot, CEO of Glanbia, Patrick Coveney, CEO of Greencore and Edmond Scanlon, CEO and Executive Director of Kerry Group.

UCC hopes to develop the event as an internationally recognised annual meeting that connects leaders of the food industry with financiers, leads debate about the industry’s future and facilitates networking in a sector strategically key to the Irish economy.

The summit is designed for delegates from the international food and agribusiness industry and all relevant professional and financial services businesses, academics and advisers to the sector. It will take place in Cork on May 28 next year.
