Voting to elect the IFA’s 16th president will commence in each of the IFA’s 944 branches from Monday 25 November to Friday 13 December. Full county-by-county details of the date, time and locations for voting are available in this week’s Irish Farmers Journal and on IFA.ie/election2019/.

The IFA presidential election gives every member the same say in choosing the next president of the organisation. It’s an important exercise in democracy and it affords farmers across all enterprises, and in every part of the country, an equal voice in deciding who is best placed to represent Irish farmers from 2020 onwards.

Members are urged to make their choice and have their say by voting at a local branch meeting.

The election count will take place in Dublin on Tuesday 17 December.

The 16th president of the IFA and the other national officers will take up office at the AGM in January 2020.
