Tipperary Fire and Rescue posted images of the blaze on social media, saying that there are a number of appliances, including its hydraulic platform (HP), in attendance.
“Once a fire has spread to the roof of a building and has weakened the structural integrity of it, the HP offers our firefighters the ability to work ‘on’ the roof without actually setting foot on it. Reducing possible risk to our firefighters in the process,” Tipperary Fire and Rescue said.
Anthony Fitzpatrick captured this footage of the blaze.
