Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue described the schemes as important support for farmers in many regions of the country who are farming in challenging environments.
The minister added that the timely processing of payments across schemes remains a key priority for his Department and urged farmers to respond quickly to any Department queries.
These schemes are expected to be closely followed by payments from the €40m Beef Data and Genomics Programme (BDGP).
