• Ag Tech is a separate conference taking place the night before Agri Careers

    • The Irish Farmers Journal, through the Ag Tech conference aims to highlight the opportunities that exist when the agriculture and technology sectors work together. Ag Tech brings together a unique combination of technology leaders and drivers of innovation from the major agribusinesses, agri-industry leaders, successful start-up owners and the investor community. The focus is to enable them to meet and make ideas a reality, find funding, increase efficiency in the agriculture sector (at farm level all the way through to retail) and drive production and profitability. Attending the conference will give an invaluable insight into how potential changes will impact businesses and identify the people that can make it happen.

    The goal of the conference is to accelerate the adoption of sustainable, resource-efficient agricultural technologies through knowledge-sharing and the formation of new partnerships and alliances between key stakeholders.

    The Ag Tech conference, which takes place on 29 March 2017 in the RDS, Dublin 4, is set to bring together the expertise of agricultural and tech companies as well as the innovation of entrepreneurs. The conference will also feature the industry's the financial backers, including one of the new ag-founded accelerator programmes currently looking for new ideas and companies to invest in.

    Ag Tech aims to highlight what to look out for in order to benefit from the massive changes that are coming down the tracks for the agriculture sector. From drones for spraying crops, to new ways to use the exploding volumes of data created throughout the agricultural industry, there are a wealth of opportunities that the agriculture sector can use to move itself forward.
