From renting to a wingman’s assistance and downsizing houses, there are many problems being addressed on TV.

Baz Ashmawy: Wingman

Baz Ashmawy is offering up his services as a wingman, helping participants of this show achieve a dream or ambition.

The first series of Bas Ashmaway: Wingman is set to air on RTÉ One in April and currently people are being recruited for a second series.

There is no hard and fast rule on what it is people need to want to achieve.

It can be anything from dating or a crazy adventure to a childhood dream or totally new ambition.

You don’t even need to know exactly what you want to do, but you just need to know that the help of a wingman is required.

Housing experiment show

This new series is set to be popular with all age groups.

With the precarious housing environment our nation is currently enveloped by, this spring and summer a new intergenerational living experiment is being filmed for Virgin Media television.

The series will match older homeowners with younger renters. They will live together for two weeks, spending time with one another every day.

For the homeowner it is a chance to combat the loneliness of living in an empty house.

For the renter it is a chance to live rent free in return for their time and helping with some chores.

At the end of the experiment the pair will decide if they wish to make it more permanent.

Goodbye House

This new RTÉ One programme aims to ease stress for those looking to downsize their house. Goodbye House centres on a parent who lives in a home that their adult children have moved out of and now it is time to downsize.

While reliving old memories, three of the homeowner’s children or relatives will go head-to-head to see who can find the perfect home.
