Suckler-bred cows sold from £2.75/kg upwards, with the majority selling between this and £3.25/kg, with the highest price being £3.76/kg.
In the heifer ring, most stock on offer were store types between 400kg and 550kg, with these selling from £3.08/kg for poorer dairy-beef stock up to highs of £4.22/kg, with the majority selling between £3.20/kg and £3.50/kg.
A small number of forward store and finished types traded well, selling between £3.20/kg and £3.50/kg, with a high of £3.76/kg paid for a Charolais-cross weighing 623kg.
Steers were similar to heifers, with the majority falling between 450kg and 570kg, .
The majority of lots traded between £3.40/kg and £3.60/kg, even for non-continental cattle, while a small number of heavier bullocks over 600kg traded between £3.55/kg and £3.60/kg.
November-born Blue-cross calves traded between £850 and £990/head in the calf ring, with weaned Angus calves selling to a high of £840/head.
