Tánaiste Simon Coveney will officially open a new €10m Spot On manufacturing facility at Chanelle Group's plant based in Loughrea, Co Galway, this Thursday.
The Chanelle Group provides registration and production of generic pharmaceuticals for both human and veterinary pharmaceuticals. The company exports to over 90 countries worldwide and invests more than €8m annually in research and development.
Generic products
Chanelle is the largest Irish-owned manufacturer of generic pharmaceutical products in Ireland, employing over 500 people at present.
In 2016, the company announced that it would create 175 new jobs by 2020.
