It can be easy to get overwhelmed with the sheer number of products on offer out there and if you're like me and tend to like to try out a lot of things, you'll be requesting for planning permission to extend your bathroom. Despite that, beauty lovers like ourselves will continue to covet the next new thing, but if the next new thing is a multifunctional one, it means it'll take up less space and cost you less money as you're only buying one thing rather than two or three. So here are five multi-tasking products that you've been missing out on.

Darphin Revitalizing Oil | €29

Spring has yet to make an appearance and it's still freezing outside, so I haven't packed away the facial oils just yet. One of my favourites is Revitalising Oil from Darphin. Not only does it smell amazing and make you feel like you're in a spa when in fact you're in your squashy bathroom, but it's a handy three-in-one product. With essential oils like ylang ylang, rosewood, jasmine and lavender to help protect and nourish the skin, it's one you can use it on your face, hair and body to provide head to toe pampering. My favourite way to use it is on clean skin before bed time because that way I can enjoy the ritual of applying it to my face, relish the scent without having to rush out the door and whatever is left on my hands is either worked into my cuticles or onto the ends of my hair. My face stays soft, as do my cuticles and my hair gets a bit of a treat. I defy you to take a whiff of this and not fall in love.

NYX Wonder Pencil | €5.99

Who'd have thought a budget brand would have such a brilliant multitasker like this little beaut. On the outside, it looks like a regular eye pencil, but it's so much more. Used on the waterline, it helps make your eyes look brighter and more awake which is always a good thing if you're like me and are in a perpetual state of exhaustion. It can be used as a concealer and while I wouldn't use it on my under eye circles as I need something creamier, it makes a great tool for doing a bit of spot concealing. Finally, if you're a lover of the red lip, you can use it after applying your favourite lippie and trace the outline of your lip to tidy things up and make it look perfect. All for just a few euro.

Trilogy Everything Balm | €16.95

If you love Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Cream but aren't too into the scent, then Trilogy Everything Balm might be worth checking out. It has a lovely herbal smell which is a treat to apply. It can be used everywhere as you might have already guessed; on cuticles, dry patches of skin on your body, on your elbows that are so dry you could grate cheese, and of course as a lip balm. I could go on but you get the picture. I'd keep this on my desk or bedside table because the packaging of this tub isn't great as it has one of those slide off lids. And if you're like me and carry around lots of products with you in your handbag, this will end up destroyed.

Lanolips Antibacterial Hand Cream | €12.99

If you like to take care of your hands, nails and like to avoid cooties, then how about trying this antibacterial hand cream from Lanolips. The slim packaging makes it perfect for popping in your handbag. The light textured cream absorbs quickly into the hands and cuticles before drying to form what they call a "liquid glove" on your hands. That sounds like it would feel really thick on the hands but rest assured, your hands will just feel silky soft and it's only when you go to wash your hands that you'll feel the barrier on your hands as you're rinsing them. I've been making my way through this tube quickly and bring it from desk to bag every day. The fact that it's alcohol free and has been proven to kill 99.9% of germs including staphylococcus aureus and E. Coli is the icing on the cake and for someone who works in a hospital, I need all the help I can get to keep the germs away.

Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow | €49

I don't think I can cope with how much I love this stuff. This golden hued tube of beauty can be used three ways. First, you can apply it as a base under your foundation for a subtle all over glow. Secondly, the way I use it most, is to mix it in with your foundation. This gives you a soft focus finish to the skin, making you look airbrushed and very Victoria Secret model-like. In the face department anyway. Finally, you can apply it over your foundation on the high points of your face like your cheekbones, cupids bow and basically anywhere you want to look all candlelit. If you know you're heading out some evening and want to look like you have an actual wonder glow, then you need to try this out. It's very spendy, but if you try it just once, you'll be hooked.

So basically you're saving money by buying one product that does the job of two or three products aren't you? You're welcome!
