Agri-Spread International manufactures multi-purpose fertiliser, lime, manure and bulk product trailed spreaders in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo. The company will have three machines on their stand at the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show, including the AS65 Land Drive fertiliser and lime spreader, AS100 Land Drive fertiliser and lime spreader, and the AS10000 VBS (Vertical Beater Spreader) rear discharge manure spreader.

Agri-Spread International manufactures a number of model sizes from 3 to 22 cubic metres, single or tandem axle, with numerous specification options. These machines are capable of spreading a wide range of materials including lime, gypsum fertilisers (synthetic and organic), fibro-phosphate, sand, salt, and poultry waste.

Spreaders are offered as either direct land drive or hydraulic drive with no PTO drive requirement. Hydraulic control of the disc spinners and drop point adjustment ensure precise accurate spreading up to 36 metres depending on the type and quality of material. Customers can choose between basic control land drive, Isobus, load cells, Auto GPS hydraulic drive with compatibility to all tractors and precision farming interfaces.

All Agri-Spread lime and fertiliser spreaders come with user-friendly test kits and an online machine set-up and calculation app to allow continuous testing of spread patterns for different product types.

Agri-Spread International will launch the new automatic GPS Isobus section control system for its range of spreaders during 2019. The section control system ensures the uniform application of exact target amounts of product.

The GPS Isobus system automates three main functions of the spreader including an in-house patented twin-belt conveyor feed system which independently regulates the application rate of product on to the spinner system.

This allows the system to automatically control application rates of product left and right. It is suitable for both lime and fertiliser.

Independent spinner disk speed is automatically controlled by the section control software to adjust the spread width and spread pattern as each of the 14 sections are turned on or off via the GPS field guidance and virtual coverage map.

According to Agri-Spread, the potential fertiliser savings vary from 5% to 20% depending on the field size, shape and obstacles in the field. The system will eliminate spreading outside of field boundaries, saving both fertiliser and overall input costs per acre.

Agri-Spread rear discharge spreaders

The Agri-Spread International range of VBS (vertical beater spreaders) are available in capacities from 6 cubic metres to 26 cubic metres. Single and tandem axle models are available and they are capable of handling a wide range of manure types from semi-liquid to well-rotted materials. Dynamically balanced twin vertical beaters at the rear of the machine finely chop and distribute materials over a wide spread pattern and are driven by PTO at 1,000 rpm via a heavy duty gearbox assembly. It has galvanised 75mm floor lats with 16mm high tensile chain, a heavy duty monocoque body and 1500mm wide back end with hydraulically controlled variable speed floor. Options include: sprung draw-bar, load cells Isobus controller, compost/wide spread kit, mudguards, hopper extensions and commercial axles.
