This year’s Ploughing Championships mark 10 years since Tanco launched its successful bale shear. It was the first machine with a fitted mechanism for holding on to the net and plastic while splitting and feeding bales with a loader.
The bale shear’s hydraulic arms and pivot are conveniently located to allow for the splitting of round bales up to 1.5m, while retaining plastic and net. This machine weighs in at 450kg.
The patented mechanism means the loader operator can do the entire bale feeding process without having to get out of the cab. Designed for feeding round bales, the first version was the I-70, while the most recent model is the I-73. Tanco also offer an I-75 Multi Shear for feeding pit and bale silage. The I-60 beet chopper/feeder has been manufactured by Tanco for over 25 years, with few changes along the way. It is available in three-point linkage and loader versions. Last year, Tanco launched the 1400-V high speed wrapper. This is the latest version of the 1400 high-output trailed wrapper range. It is designed and built for speed and high output. The patented split table of the 1400-EH is retained on the 1400-V. This allows for simultaneous wrapped bale unloading and next bale reloading. It also comes with the addition of auto-loading which offers full automatic operation of the machine if required.

The 1400-V has telescopic cut and start, direct gear drive to the satellite arms and a variable proportional hydraulic system with the S-series linkage/loader wrappers. It is designed to have a low centre of gravity chassis, positioning the bale forward of the axle for maximum stability and weight distribution.
The A-100 trailed and A-200 static turntable wrappers will also be on display.
