Are you part of Ireland’s fittest family?

If your family is fit, fast and strong, then there’s only one TV show to go on and it’s time to apply for it. Ireland’s Fittest Family is back and looking for new families to take on the challenge.

Now in its 10th series, the programme’s producers have billed this year’s competition as “more challenging than ever”.

The prize for the winning family is €15,000.

Last year, Anna Geary came out on top as the celebrity coach, when her family, the Kinsellas from Wexford, took home first place.

Farm families

Farmer strength has proven to be real over the years, with farm families performing well.

In 2021, the Allens from Tipperary, who are dairy farmers, came second.

The McDonalds, beef farmers from Laois, got to the final in 2019.

Farming families won the series outright for two consecutive years, with tillage farmers from Tipp the Cummins family winning in 2016 and beef farmers the Bernies from Leitrim winning in 2017.

Farming family the Kingstons from Cork won in 2014.
