JFC, the Galway-based company which manufactures plastic products for the agricultural and construction sectors, recorded a double-digit increase in profits for its 2018 financial year. Accounts recently filed by JFC Manufacturing show the company made pre-tax profits of €5.2m in 2018, which was up 18% on the previous year.
JFC reported operating profits of just over €4.9m, which was up 26% year on year. The accounts show strong profit margins. Operating profit margins for 2018 stood at a robust 12.8%, up from 11% the previous year.Overall, JFC Manufacturing saw its sales increase 9% during 2018 to reach €38m, while the net asset value of the business increased to €42.4m.
Established by John Concannon over 30 years ago, JFC Manufacturing employs close to 200 people at its headquarters in Tuam, Co Galway. The group has manufacturing facilities in Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands and Poland.

While it started out in agriculture, JFC has diversified into construction, civil engineering, material handling and even the marine sector.
