Develon has introduced a new model to its growing portfolio of battery electric diggers, the DX23E-7.

The newcomer offers an operating weight of 2.2t and claims a 5% increase in lift capacity compared with its diesel-powered counterpart, the DX19-7.

While the DX23E-7 is based on the DX19-7 platform, the development of the electric drive system allowed the removal of the DX19-7’s frame cross-plate and a larger swing radius (+3.5cm) to create space for the battery pack installation.

A 32kWh lithium ion battery is fitted as standard and offers a run time in the region of eight hours and a charging time from six to 10 hours under normal charging conditions and 1.5 hours with the 15kW fast charger.

The DX23E-7 is offered with a 32kWh lithium ion battery as standard, while a 40kWh alternative is optionally available.

An optional 40kWh lithium ion battery allows up to 10 hours run time and seven to 12 hours charge time, which too can be reduced by using the 15kW fast charger, charging to 80% in 2.5 hours.

Maximum digging depth of the DX23E-7 is 2.34m and loading to a maximum height of 2.44m.
