Taking pride of place on the Deutz-Fahr stand was the new 8 Series. With production set to start any day now at the Lauingen factory in Germany, the new ground-up platform is made up of two models. One of the major changes is the move to FPT’s 6.7l engine which in the 8310 TTV produces 313hp and 340hp in the 8340 TTV.

One of the more prominent updates is the brand-new air suspended SigmaVision four-pillar cab, offering 11% more glass area, improved visibility and more space.

Inside, it is equipped with a new iControl armrest with a 12.8-inch iMonitor 5- and 15- inch iCluster pillar display. The armrest has two configurable joysticks for controlling everything from the transmission, auxiliaries and Isobus functions.

In terms of hydraulics, flow has increased to 220l/min while rear lift capacity is rated at 12,000kg.
