Mitas enters agricultural rubber track market
Mitas, the well-known agricultural tyre manufacturer, has entered the agricultural rubber track market. It says the new ‘Mitrak’ range is designed for both tractors and self-propelled machines. The tracks are offered in different sizes from 457mm to 914mm (18” to 36”). The range is available in both SD (Standard Duty) and HD (Heavy Duty) versions.
The manufacturer has said that the tread on its tracks is designed to provide good wear and cut resistance. The reinforced track body comprises of three auxiliary wire layers placed at different angles above the steel cables to improve stability. It says that brass-coated galvanized steel cables provide strength along the track, and an extra wire layer protects the cables from drive-wheel abrasion.
