On 14 January, UK-based Hawk Plant Hire went into administration.
The Hawk Group was one of the largest independent plant hire companies in the UK.
Euro Auctions has recently announced that it will be holding a disposal sale of the firm’s agricultural assets, which amounts to over 2,000 lots.
Tractors
The auction is set to include 130 tractors. Almost 120 of these tractors are made up of both M and R series John Deeres, all of which were registered between 2016 and 2018 and many of which are still under warranty. The remainder include JCB Fastracs and New Hollands.
Euro Auctions has confirmed that it will hold two sales over two dates, at the Hawks depots in Shropshire.
First sale
The first sale will take place on Thursday 14 March. This will consist of agricultural machinery and light equipment.
The second auction will take place on Friday 15 March. This auction will see the heavy equipment being sold.
One viewing day for all lots will be held on 12 March.
Euro Auctions has informed the Irish Farmers Journal that there will be no reserve.
The list of tractors and machinery up for grabs includes:
130 tractors, 2016, 2017 and 2018, predominantly John Deere.
75 excavators, 2016 and 2017, including 6t, 10t and 20t, predominantly Komatsu.
80 agricultural trailers of various makes.
60 articulated dump trucks, from 2011 to 2017, mainly Komatsu.
236 water bowsers, from 757 litres to 7,570 litres.
35 dozers, predominantly Cat and Komatsu, from 2017 to 2018.
100+ miscellaneous pieces of farming machinery.
70+ Thwaites site dumpers, mainly 2006.
70+ telehandlers, predominantly JCB.
