The deadline for the farm entitlements transfer will close soon.

NI farmers can now trade Farm Sustainability Payment entitlements, with the 2026 entitlement trading service opened on Monday 10 March – it will remain open until the deadline to submit single applications on 15 May 2026.
The entitlements register can be accessed via DAERA online services, with the information displayed being correct as of the 23 January 2026.
However, the value shown for entitlements is at the 2025 rate as the rate in 2026 can only be confirmed once the Stormont Executive agrees the funding package for the year ahead.

Assuming the final budget is the same as last year, it should mean these entitlement values will be little changed.
All farm businesses must activate at least three entitlements in 2026 to receive payments this year.
