The Northern Ireland (NI) branch of the National Sheep Association (NSA) elected Jonny Farmer as its new chair at the organisation’s AGM in Kells, Co Antrim.
The Portglenone man replaces Ballycastle sheep farmer Brian Jamieson, who completed a two-year term as NI chair.
After over 10 years in the role, Ian McDonnell stepped down as regional treasurer for the NI branch and was replaced by Brian Jamieson.
Vice-chair
Alastair Armstrong from Tempo was elected vice-chair at the meeting on Thursday evening.
Speakers at the event included Welsh sheep farmer Rhys Edwards and Malver-based NSA communications officer Katie James.
