NI has experienced its third wettest autumn since records began in 1836, according to Met Office figures.
The September to November period saw rainfall 39% above the long-term average, with totals reaching around 449mm. Only the autumns of 2000 and 2011 were wetter.
The season was marked by frequent Atlantic weather system, bringing repeated spells of rain and several named storms, including Storm Amy in October, which produced record-breaking gusts of 92mph at Magilligan in Co Derry.

Autumn was also dull and mild, with just 80% of average sunshine, making it the fifth dullest on record.
