In association with the Irish Hereford Breed Society, Next Gen Herefords is hosting a youth development workshop and field walk at Gageboro Herefords, Co Offaly, on Sunday 29 June, commencing at 12pm.
On the day, there will be clipping, grooming and ring craft demonstrations, as well as discussions on Hereford beef.
Bursary candidates that are attending the World Hereford Conference in Kansas in October will be on hand to help and assist young breeders on the day.

Catherine Smyth, one of the coordinators of the Next Gen programme, said: “The workshop is aimed at educating young Hereford enthusiasts and we hope it provides a valuable learning experience for those who attend. We welcome everyone to come along on the day.”
The farm is located at the Orchard, Co Offaly, N37KV88.
