Clare breeders Ronan and John Tuohy have confirmed the private sale of their red and white Belgian Blue heifer, Coose Tiamaria, for an undisclosed five-figure sum.
Purchasing Tiamaria was Darragh McMenamin from Co Donegal, who is building a herd of top-quality commercial breeding females.
This stunning young heifer is just nine months old and is sired by Dovea Genetics’ AI bull, Negrita Du Lac.

Her dam, Pamela Du Petit Esquerbion, was purchased by the Tuohys as a foundation female from Belgium, at just 11 months old.
Ronan said: “This is the first pedigree Belgian Blue heifer we offered for sale.
“Her dam is breeding exceptionally well for us, hopefully Tiamaria will be as lucky for Darragh.
“We are sure she’ll breed plenty of show and sale toppers.”
Red and white Belgian Blue heifers have been in high demand in recent years, achieving spectacular prices across the country.
