There are three viable agricultural plots of land on offer in the next Allsop auction. The auction, which is taking place in the RDS, Dublin on 25 February, will have almost 200 properties on offer. The majority of the properties are residential dwellings, industrial units and sites, however, there are three agriculturally attractive lots.

The largest lot for sale is a 54 acre site near Slane in Meath. The property is located in the townland of Dowth, approximately 6.4km east of Slane. Dowth, like land around Newgrange, is a special area of conservation. The land has been used previously for tillage farming and has a maximum reserve price of €350,000.

There is also 31 acres of agricultural land for sale near Cruaghwell in Galway. The land borders the Radford River to the east and is also subject to a tenancy from 1 April 2012 for a term of 4 years at a current rent of €3,000 per annum. The maximum reserve on the site is €110,000.
