The row over undercutting of liquid milk contracts rumbles on (page 50). Competition laws are there to prohibit collusion between co-ops but farmers are faring worst. While TJ Flanagan suggested there is no shortage of milk during winter months, surely the writing must be on the wall for the sector with few new farmers or cows calving in winter. Leadership is required.
