Agri Aware calls on farmers to showcase why they are proud to farm
The campaign is part of Agri Awares AgCredible Academy which was launched in February 2020, enabling farmers to promote Irish agriculture to the consumer.
Agri Aware has called on all farmers and those working in the food industry to share a message on social media detailing why they are proud to farm.
The campaign will run from 15 to 17 September, coinciding with what would have been the 2020 National Ploughing Championships.
Farmers are asked to upload a 30- to 60-second video including the hashtags #AgCredible, #Ploughing2020 and a tag for @AgriAware.

Bridging the gap
Since February, hundreds of farmers have been sharing stories on social media using the #AgCredible hashtag in an effort to bridge the gap between producers and consumers.
Agri Aware chair Alan Jagoe said: “Whether it’s caring for animals, producing high-quality produce, being a custodian of the land or working with family members, we’d like farmers to share on social media why they are proud to farm.
“We are delighted to launch this campaign on what is traditionally the biggest week in the Irish farming calendar and would like to thank the NPA for their support.”
