Argentina – Export tax suspended

The 9.5% export tax on Argentinian grain has been suspended until the end of October or until they reach the value of $7bn (€6bn), whichever happens first.
UK – sheep production down
AHDB report that UK clean sheep slaughter was down 31,400 head in August compared with July to 868,000 head, and 68,200 head or 7% lower than August 2024
Mexico – New World screwworm (NWS)
USDA has confirmed that a case of NWS has been discovered in northern Mexico, less than 70 miles from the US border.
