With US beef production falling by 3.9% to 11.5m tonnes in 2025, Brazil became the world’s leading beef producer with 12.5m tonnes of beef output.
Australia – record lamb prices

A new record price for Australian lamb of AU$12.45/kg (€7.15/kg) was achieved in 2025, reflecting strong international demand for Australian sheepmeat.
Britain – animal feed production
Between July and November 2025, British animal feed compounders produced 1.789m tonnes of cattle and calf feed, a 7% increase on the same period the previous year.
USA – beef price increase
US consumer beef prices increased by 1% in December and were 16.4% higher than a year earlier, according to the US Bureau of Labor statistics consumer price index.
