Brazil – record cattle kill
Brazil’s cattle kill increased by 3.25 million head in 2025 to 42.94 million head, beating the previous record set in 2024 (WBR).
Egypt – soybean imports

Australia – sheep forecast
The Australian Bureau of Agricultural Resource Economics and Sciences forecasts the gross value of lamb and sheep slaughter, wool and live sheep exports to fall 3% to Aus$9.4bn (€5.6bn) in 2026–27.
China – dairy imports decline
China’s dairy imports fell by 14.6% in the first two months of 2026, a decline of 428m kilogrammes (415m litres) liquid milk equivalent (DCA).
